BaldwinBears are designed and made in the tiny picturesque village of Binalong, NSW, Australia. I studied at art school in my misspent youth and over the years have mastered and taught most of the art/craft disciplines. Notable amongst these are, pottery, silversmithing and beading (recently at Baldwin’s Gallery, Bowning, NSW) and more lately designer/artist bear maker. Most of my time is now spent making my bears which have found homes around the world including England, USA, Australia, Holland and France. I have achieved recognition for my bear making winning a number of first prizes at major bear shows in Australia. BaldwinBears has also been featured in many publications and some of my designs are marketed by leading bear making suppliers. More recently I began studying a textile course with the City and Guilds in London through Distance Learning. This has been valuable in providing inspiration and skills which I can apply to all aspects of my bear making. |
